We are moving next week to a new apartment, which is only at the corner of our current road - But it has two bedrooms (Squee!) and the unheard of luxury of a dining room (OMG!)
We actually had two months left on our contract here and were discussing maybe looking for something to buy after that, but having a baby and buying a house are supposed to be two of the most stressful things you can do in your lifetime - let's not do both within twelve months eh?
Instead we noticed a for rent sign outside the apartments at the end of our street, and it's a really funky building so I was nosy about what it might look like. Add to that it's actually managed by the letting agent we are currently renting from, so it seemed like a reasonable idea just to look, you know?
And... we liked it, and it turned out that not only is it managed by the same agents, but it's actually owned by the same person; so we could transfer our current lease to the new place and just move there at the end of the month.
Well. How can you turn that down? That seems far too much like something that's meant to happen doesn't it? If you believe such hippy illogical nonsense, which obviously we don't, but looking a gift horse in the mouth purely because it's logical is actually just daft don't you think?
So we are moving on Monday. Squee! Except packing. sigh. But mostly Squee!
