Doc C's sister sent a crocheted pink hat with a pink ribbon and feather rosette. The rosette is RIDICULOUS and takes the hat completely over-the-top from cute to infant drag. It was already so pink that we couldn't resist pairing it with the sugary sweet white and pink dress(with embroidered pink ladybirds on it) and, finally, pink socks. Eva was very possibly the pinkest baby in Asheville, which was in honour of our going out for sushi with our friend Laura.
This was the first time I've had proper sushi since I found out I was pregnant (I did have crab stick sushi, which is a mediocre counterfeit). I had the sushi deluxe plate, which has several different types of sushi and rolls, and a special order of crispy salmon skin rolls. Crispy salmon skin is my favourite type of sushi and I have been thinking about it for months. It was utterly delicious.
All in all a very fun evening.
