I've given Eva sponge baths since we brought her home, but we had to wait until her umbilical stump fell off before we could give her a bath. Once that happened and we were cleared to actually give her a proper bath, frankly I was nervous about actually putting her in the water because I expected there would be a lot of screaming.
Today we bit the bullet, and Doc C gave Eva a bath in the kitchen sink, whilst I hovered anxiously and took photos. Because, hello, what else are we going to embarrass her with when she's 17 and brings friends home?
We were pretty delighted to discover that she seems to actually like the water. There were no tears until the very end of the bath when it suddenly all got a bit overwhelming, and by then we already had a clean baby.
A successfull mission! Well done Doc C!
