Sometimes I won't see any wild animals for ages, apart from the really sleepy ones having a nap by the side if the road, but Monday featured our very own Groundhog Day in which we saw two whilst driving between my dermatologist's office and the chemists. The first one was quite a fleeting glimpse, but the second was a much less flighty rodent.
This groundhog happened to be right next to the traffic lights eating grass and being blithly uninterested in the cars, but when some motorcycles roared past he looked up to see what all the kerfuffle was about.
I like to think, based on his facial expression here, he was telling those hoodlums to keep off his lawn.
