After work this evening I had a cup of tea with a slice of banana bread, whilst reading Victorian detective stories. Then I changed into sports gear, turned on the playstation and did battle in the virtual gladiator arena. That sounds like I just sat in an armchair and pushed buttons, but actually I had to move furniture out of the way so I had enough space to flail around the living room with my virtual sword and shield. I must look like a loon to anyone who happens to look through our window.
I've been battling the same avatar all this week, and although I have won a fair number of the matches I didn't get all three if the possible gold stars. I don't move onto my next opponent without a full compliment of gold stars; that's my own personal rule, not part of the game. The really difficult part was that my opponent was the character I usually play as, so we were very equally matched, but after a lot of hard slog I won!
Doc C came out of the study just in time to catch me, covered in sweat, doing my gloating victory dance and laughing maniacally.
