I've been asleep for most of today, which was just lovely, I think it was my sub-conscious welcoming in the Christmas break. Once I finally woke up at about 3, my first priority was to call my Mum and wish her a happy birthday.
I also tried out one of my Christmas presents, a fire pot from my work-friend Amy. The pot is portable and can be used inside because the fuel is smokeless, so it's perfect for when you want a small but atmospheric fire. I only put a small amount of the fuel gel into the reservoir, and it lasted about half an hour. This is also going to be really nice to have in the middle of the table when we have dinner outside in the summer.

Edith was totally fascinated by it, but she didn't set her whiskers or tail on fire I'm pleased to say.
