We went to a house warming party this evening (I wore a polka dot dress and we took a gorgeous blueberry pie from our favourite bakery) which was really fun.
I logged onto Little Big Planet for a bit before we left the house, and somehow I found myself playing on-line, which is one of the features that makes PS3 unique. I honestly don't know how that happened, but I just went with it. Then some other players joined the game, and they tried to talk to me but I don't have a microphone set up sort I just sort of waved at them. They were friends, and I could hear them chatting to each other and occasionally they'd try to talk to me again, mainly asking if I was a boy or a girl. Just based on that I think they were fairly young.
I think they got a bit frustrated with the game, and with me not talking to them, so they understandably went a bit feral - Nothing mean spirited, they just wanted to play fight really, but I couldn't retaliate very well so I tried to leave the game. What I didn't realise was that if I just went back to my home base they would get dragged with me. It was SO weird having other sack people in my pod! I quickly jumped into another game to keep them busy whilst I worked out how the hell to get off-line.
Playing Little Big Planet with friends would be so much fun, but I need to get much more skillful and I really want to team up with somebody I actually know for the first couple of on-line missions so they can hold my cyber-hand. Do any of you want to volunteer? Go on! It'll be really fun I promise!
