Following on from yesterday's post about my iPod's repeatedly ignoring 825 songs, I am now listening to them all, and occasionally I will award a rating of one star.
Usually getting a star would be a good thing, but in this instance it's my short-hand for delete. Why bother with the star? Why not delete straight away? Well, this way the songs get an appeal on their sentence, I intend to listen to them again and see if I still think they are bilge or if there is a hidden gem in there actually. I don't hold out a lot of hope for any of them, but I feel this is much fairer than a sudden death after a single outing.
I have noticed though that the pod must be lying about the play count on some of these songs, I'll accept I haven't heard any Varla-Jean Merman in the mix, I would remember that, but I know for a fact MC Solaar's "Noveau Western" has been played in the past few weeks and there is no way "Take On Me" has never been played. Come on Pod! Pull the other one, it's got bells on.
