After my haircut we walked two or three doors down to the Custard Depot, which opened this weekend. We've been waiting for it to open for a few months, so this was a very exciting afternoon.
At the moment they only have three flavours; chocolate, vanilla or butter pecan. Doc got vanilla with Oreo crumbled on top and I had chocolate with a chopped up peppermint patty. We sat on the bench outside the shop to eat our custard, and it was so delicious.
I also noticed that the cup the custard was served in was made from biodegradable corn plastic, and so was the spoon. The owner came out to chat to us, and he was telling us that all of the businesses on that street are working together to be greener.
This may well be our new go to place for emergency desert.
