By the way when we saw Doc's family for New Year's Day one of his brothers gave us a Graduation/Wedding/Birthday/Christmas present that he bought us a year ago and not had the chance to give us. It was a Bose Wave music system, which is a tiny little stereo that Doc has been drooling over for years.
There is really nothing you can give a former sound engineer that will make him happier than really good speakers, that he can then wire up to the TV and every other electronic thing in the house. The theme tune for "NCIS" rocks even more when you can properly appreciate the bass line, there may have been some dancing.
