I add things to the Netflix queue all the time without consulting Doc C first, and I reorganise the order too. I try to be fair about it, and if I know there is something he really wants to watch, I will bump it up to the top.
So I added both DVDs of the TV series "Kitchen Confidential" a while ago, and it's been slowly moving up the list. When the red square envelopes arrived I was really pleased, because it has a phenomenal cast and I know that the book by Anthony Bourdain that the show is based on is very well regarded by many chefs, whilst also revealing slightly too much about the restaurant world for the squeamish.
Doc C, however, had never heard of the book or the show, and he wasn't keen to watch it. So the discs have been hanging around for a while, and we only saw the first show this evening.
It pretty much rocks. We've pretty much finished the first DVD already.
Doc likes it too, which means it must be pretty damn good. This is clearly why it got canceled before the first season even ended. Well done TV executives, what a truly great decision.
